Photos: My Scholarship entry - Moments captured

I'm a volunteer working in Vanuatu on a year long contract. Orginially from the North of Australia where the environment is very harsh, yet full of beauty, same said for the culture. I've always loved photos. Even as a child I always had film cameras and loved taking photos and placing them in albums. This passion has continued and now I certainly am totally obsessed with catching those moments in time or places on earth that are mind altering, heart stopping, or just make you go mmmm! I love trying to capture my perception of a situation, person or environment and share that with others through a photo. I would love this opportunity to learn from a true expert. I've always wanted to devote an entire adventure to photography. I've always wanted to pursue travel photography as a passion but never been confident in my ability to start. I feel a scholarship program like this would be a fantastic way for me to improve my skills and give me that experience to take the next step.
