Still a staunch animal lover-animals are not just a tasty ingredient-wake up!

Seems I am as easily angered by the flippant interaction humans can have with animals.

Seems I haven't shifted at all from my realisation at ten years old.

Seems I think humans should be more conscious and less greedy.

Seems I am intolerant and beligerant.

Seems I am disgusted when I read about people eating delicious recipes containing animals as if the animal is just another ingredient.

Seems I am disappointed by people justifying meat eating because organic and sustainable.

Seems I am incredulous when people leave waste on their plates from an animal that has given its life.

Seems I still wish that people honour deeply the precious animals they are eating.

I imagine we as humans could do a lot better... just a blip I have in my otherwise super flexible world.

The story begins three years and 3 months later

I left England at the beginning of December 2007. After a deeply difficult 3 years of dealing with my fathers illness and subsequent passing, a relationship and engagement breakdown, challenging living situation and precarious employment.

I had always meditated and been a spiritual seeker, but this severely difficult time, pushed me further and further into a surrendered space.

During the day, I would function in my professional work roles as a university lecturer and Speech and Language Therapist, and at night I would go home and sit for hours and hours in front of a photo of Mother Meera.
