No Deli belly here.

Well i'm back in Nepal-ktm-flew from Badraphur this afternoon.Spent last 2 weeks in southern India.Darjeeling o.k. but always hazy and gorka issue a real problem/interference for travellers.Sikkim was the cleanest/greenest i've seen India.Visited northern Sikkim for rhod. display and glacial hike-great scenery and lots of waterfalls.Gantok even has a mall i.e. no cars-1st for india?? Ktm drier but a lot less claustrophobic than a month ago.Planned hike to my porters' village on 30/4/08-wednesday on everest slope for a week long volleyball comp. before heading home to OZ. on 10th of May.

incredible india

Now 4/4/08 travelling through southern india having hiked for 3 weeks in nepal. Firstly bus and trains are phenominal and cheap. The trip from ernakulum to munnar and munnar to kumily via bus has to be experienced. Not worthwhile treking in the western ghats of Kerala-no wildlife apart from pestering monkeys and lots of leeches and expensive to boot.

Madurai was an interesting city-great vegie dosas.,unfortunately the light show at the temple for 630 pms is not being performed. The train station at madurai was great and the personnel were most helpful.

Now at mululupinan just south of chennai and it blows goa and the beaches in kerala out of the water.Oh yeh and there are heaps of temples here as well but it is rather short on gompas.Lots of great restaurants now that tourist season is over so the prices are competitive..Off to chennai tomorrow to visit me indian mate for a week ..so maybe i'll be able to go to cholewood!!
