London

Well already when I was in Australia I decided that I wanted to go to London. Never been there before and it's only and hour and a half with plane. After beeing in Australia and see all those distances which might be normal down there, like 12 hour drive in a day or drive more than an hour to get to a pub. We wouldn't do it here.

So my sister and me went to London the 10th of June, which means I was only home for a week before I took off again, this time with less bagage.

Met up with one of my bestfriends who I haven't seen since before I lefet in September. Enjoyed London with all the sights and we went on Madame Tussauds Waxmuseum and ride in London Eye. It's not cheap in London but for a short stay it's not that bad.

Someday I'll go back, but for now I dreams about see new places..

Thailand

The plane from Australia took me to Bangkok from Sydney, almost a 10 hour flight. Stayed on the aiport there for 12hours before I got on a plane to Phuket. Hard to be awake almost 24 hours just sitting still doing nothing.

In Phuket I stayed at Patong beach area for two weeks. Just relaxing, sunbathing and going on daytrips. Went to Phi Phi Islands, Phang-nga bay, James Bond Island and a daytour around Phuket including temples, cashewnut factory and elephanttrekking.

Went back to Bangkok for a few days before I flew home. Basically what you do in Bangkok is shop and go in a taxi. There's shoppingmalls after shoppingmalls all over five stories high. unbeliavble.

Enjoyed my stay very much, although they can go a it on the nerves because you should buy everything and see everything and all this.

"come come", "have a look inside", "I have your size", "special price just for you". Good if you like it, not if you don't.

Came home the 3rd of June after 11 hours flight. Bangkok - Vienna, Vienna - Copenhagen. Although I like flying more than boats (because I got so seasick in Australia ;P )

I will go back to Thailand to see and do more and when I do, I will go to Malaysia, Singapore, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia as well.

You never know, I might see you there.

My Aussie trip

Well, from the time I decided that I'd go to the land Downunder, time went quickly. As the day of my departure I was actually relaxed and didn't worry. My family did it for me. Sad goodbye at the airport in Copenhagen and almost 24 hours later I arrived in Sydney, Australia.

I was in Sydney for the weekend then went to Surfcamp for a few days. The eastcoast went quite quickly. From Surfcamp to Newcastle, Port Macquarie, Byron bay, Brisbane, Noosa, Hervey bay, Fraser Island, Bundaberg, Airlie beach, Whitsundays, Magnetic Island and Cairns.

On Christmas Eve, the 24th of December I flew from Cairns to Perth overnight. Just crossing this land took appr. five hours.

I spent two weeks in Perth before I started working in a Countrypub about 3 hours from Perth, southeast. In the middle of nowhere kind of, a place called Quindanning. There I worked for eight weeks. Enjoying the beautiful scenery, working in the bar and helping out in the kitchen. A really different experience from all the ususal backpackerplaces.

I went on a trip up to Exmouth and back to Perth, which took eight days, almost the same distance as from London to Moscow. Insane if you think of it like that.

Then I went on the train called The Indian Pacific from perth to Adelaide. Two nights and a bit less than three days later I arrived early fridaymorning in Adelaide. Sunday around noon I went on The Ghan to Alice Spring, which took only one night. It's hard to get some sleep on trains I tell you. I couldn't really find a comfortable position to sleep in.

In Alice Springs I went for a three day Center Tour which was taking me to see Kata Tjuta, Uluru (Yulara) and King's Canyon. It was so different as well comparing to what you've seen in this big country. Although I had bad luck with the weather, it was pouring down for eight hours, I enjoyed it. From there I went in a 4WD to Adelaide and then the nightbus to Melbourne where I met up with my parents. Visited Philip Island and the penguin parade and Great Ocean Road. Sooo Beautiful !

After that back to Adelaide for a few days before my parents flew home and I flew to Sydney to work for a few weeks before I left to Thailand.

Short summary of my travel. Any questions just ask

all the best on your travles

/Sandra
