Pisa

We arrived in Pisa on Monday night around 9pm, we got a hotel and hit the city. Pisa is not worth the journey unless you go up the Leaning Tower. That night we walked around and couldn't find anything to do, the sights were ok, and the tower was cool at night, but other then that nothing. We did eat a great meal at Antica Tralloria il Campano and then basically went to sleep. The next day we walked to the Piazza del Duomo and was pretty amazed by the Belle Tower. We went up the Tower for 15 euros and it was well worth it. When you first get in the tower it feels as if you are drunk. The stairs are more up then more down since the tower is in fact leaning. The second set brings you up to the Bells and this stairwell is smaller then the first. The view from the bell level is great and you can look through the center of the tower. One more level is the smallest stairwell and obviously the windiest, once again the next level is even better the one before. The top is a great vantage point for photos,

Siena

We left Florence the next afternoon, arriving in Siena around 1:30pm. From the train station we walked into the city, it was about a 30 minute walk because we took our time. As we walked into the city comments such as "you speak good english" and responses such as "thanks I practice alot" where said from Sam to strangers. Piazza del Campo, The Siena Duomo, and the view from Piazza Caduti Delle Forze dell' Ordine were all beautiful. Siena seemed less city and more typical Tuscany stereotype. Siena is beautiful, the shopping is great, and the people are very friendly aswell.

Florence

First time in Italy !!

The journey started in Alicante like usual and flew out of Valencia. We arrived in the Pisa airport and imidiately took a bus to Florence. We enjoyed a small corner store and met some new friends before we wondered the city looking for the famous Yellow Bar. Since we could not find it we simply retired in at Hotel Arianna.
The next day we went to Mass in Basilica di Santa Maria Novella, bought five euro sunglasses, and went to lunch at Gusto Leo before we walked to city. Of course once we left the delicous Gusto Leo we found the Yellow Bar about twenty yards away. We went to Galleria dell'Accademia or The Academy Gallery and saw Michelangelo's David. We walked the Fiume Arno (river), Piazza del Duomo, and Piazza della Signoria. Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore was very impressive along with all the statues in Piazza della Singnoria. Next we went to the Galleria delgli Uffizi or Uffizi Gallery, which was a bit overrated. I enjoyed it, but I didn't find it as interesting nor as "wow". That night was the super bowl Colts Vs Bears... We watched the game in a irish pub "Dublin Pub" ( Harp strong with Guiness is amazing). It was a late night since the game didn't start until midnight. So, the first 2 days of our trip ended up being filled with beer, owell, tomorrow Sienna.
