We are two aspiring film-makers from the Philippines who, this time, decided to highlight one of Cebu’s prized goods. Even from the past, Cebuanos are highly known for their love of music. They are devoted to singing and enjoy crafting different kinds of sound. We want to somehow immortalize the passion of our fellow natives in our film that is why we took out our cameras and looked for someone whom we could share this moment with us.

Although we still do not have the knack to accomplish great works since we do not have proper training in film-making aside from school documentation projects and leisure videos, we are still confident enough to impart this short video featuring one of Cebu’s finest instruments. Hoping that our skills at taking videos will be recognized, we offered our time, effort and our best to carry out what we want from this film.

We have been dreaming of becoming filmmakers; work for travel shows, documentaries and produce an exemplary film. Winning this scholarship will really mean a lot; we greatly believe this is a once-in-a-life-time opportunity that could open doors to our film-making dreams.

Arsenal Asia Tour

Last July, I went to Jakarta, Indonesia to watch an Arsenal exhibiton game.

July 12, 2013, we went to the Monument and the Museum just across the street. We then went to the Grand Indonesia Mall to eat. After that, we decided to sneak around Grand Hyatt Hotel to see Arsenal, unfortunately, nothing good happened.

July 13, 2013 was the Fan Event. Thanks to one of the Arsenal Philippines Board Members, I was able to attend this fan event. Luckily, there was a photo session so I had the chance to get closer to one of my favs (Olivier Giroud.)

After the event, they gave some giveaways like signed pictures, keychains, and a photo souvenier from the photo session. Next, we headed over to Gelora Bung Karno to watch the training session.

July 14, 2014. MATCH DAY. Woke up so early because of excitement hehe. Since the match was at 10 pm, I decided to go to the mall to shop. Some shops were on sale, thankfully, so I was able to buy something. Then, finally, the match!! You have no idea how excited I was!!

I had a really great time. Hope they will come back.

My Scholarship entry - My Kind of Adventure

We are two young Filipino adamant travelers/film enthusiasts from the Philippines who seek out for adventure in an unfamiliar place of Cebu and we thought heading to south is the best way for us to introduce a natural wonder. Our abilities are not well equipped akin to a highly skilled explorer and a filmmaker; however, we believe that experience is the greatest teacher above all that’s why we took out our cameras and fearlessly ventured out unknown areas.

Although we still don’t have the knack to accomplish great works since we don’t have proper training in filmmaking aside from school documentation projects and leisure videos, we are still confident enough to share what we considered as beauty through our eyes. So, with the help of our good old trusty cameras and backpacks we welcome you to our one of a kind Cebu attraction.

We have been dreaming of becoming filmmakers; work for travel shows and documentaries. Winning this scholarship will really mean a lot; we believe this will be a stepping stone and/or this will open doors to our filmmaking dreams.
