From internship to full time photography work in 1984, I spent the next 10 years working as a commercial photographer. I ultimately burned out, walked away from professional work. I climbed, worked odd jobs, and continued to climb, never putting down the camera. Starting anew in 2006, I bought a digital SLR and reintroduced myself to story-telling. As I’ve aged, I’ve learned to live in the moment. Today I want to keep discovering how to see through a lens from those that work successfully. I want to learn to be more interpretive, less analytical and structural. I'm open to anyone teaching me to broaden my understanding. Today, I’m learning to feel the connection between what I sense, feel and comprehend and what I can technically execute. It’s easy to miss the nuances in life, and when pointing a camera, it’s even easier to not feel. Story-telling, for me, is about connecting to feelings I experience witnessing other’s lives played out before me.
