When I heard of the subject matter my heart skipped a beat. You see, I am Colombian, well , my parents are. I'm 2nd generation Colombian. My parents immigrated in the late 50's and I was born in the States. I had the good fortune to visit Colombia in 2003 and marveled at its beauty and charm.
