My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Last November I enjoyed a trip to North Vietnam and loved every aspect of my adventure, from interacting with the friendly people, to the colors and costumes of the many ethnic tribes. The heart of every village is the weekly outdoor market. Because these markets occur only one day each week, everyone from the surrounding area is there, and all manner of activity can be found. My submitted images are representative of these activities that occured throughout the many village markets I experienced. People get together to shop, gossip, enjoy a quick meal and even get a haircut.
This is why I travel, I love experiencing the many different cultures and most importantly the warmth and diversity of the locals. I photograph my travels so that I can share my experience/story with others.
