Photos: My Scholarship entry - A Holly Track to Amarnath

Hello I am Plaban Bhattacharya from India. My passion is Photography . I love to travel . So I want to be a travel Photographer . I think It is very adventures job. Knowing different places , culture, people. capturing the greatest moment. I think I should chosen because of my passion and dedication of my job of photography. My sense of art and hard working nature.

Recently I was in Amarnath. It was one of the greatest experiences in my life. The journey was too tough that it can challenge the Physical and mental ability of any body. There is two rout of Amarnath Yatra one from Chandanwari (Long rout) and another from Baltal(short rout but more difficult ). From Baltal you can reach the holly cave in One day. The distance is 14 km. We reached from Baltal 6th july .We spend the night in tent. The Baltal base camp was a beautiful place surrounded by mountains. 7th july we started the journey at 6.15 am and reach Amarnath base camp(3952M aprox) at 2pm. After taking some lunch in vandara we had visited the holly cave. We spend that night in Amarnath Base Camp surrounded by glacier and mountain. On 8th july we were back to baltal. In amaranth yatra you have to spend the night in tent(100 Rs per bed). The food is totally free in Vandara.(dal ,rice ,Milk ,tea everything) . you can see the beauty of nature and Himalaya in the way of travel to Amarnath . But the track rout is so difficult that some time you just lost your strength to walk farther. But the the yatri on the way encourage you again and finally you will reach your goal. You can also reach there in Horses , Pitthu and Helicopter from Baltal.
During my Amarnath Yatra I had to spend some days in Srinagar and few places in Kashmir. Really it’s Heaven in Earth. The Dal Lake in Srinagar is the most beautiful place. I was able to capture some of those beautiful moments there. It was amazing. Kashmir is such a place you are not satisfied here to visit just one time. You have to promise yourself in your mind that you will come again and again.

Photos: The Call of Passion.......A Short Trip to Pelling

After no response from any friend, finally I had decided to go alone. From 7th to 10th May 2013, I was in Pelling .With my two companion and friends that is my Camera and tripod.Beacuse my psssion is Photography and Travelling. I was started from Howrah 6th may and was reached Pelling in 7th. First two days I had to face very bad weather .Because it was raining continually. But in the morning of 9th May I finally had some fantastic weather and clear view( But for 3 or 4 hours only). Then the rain had started again. 10th may the weather was good and the view of Khangchendzonga was very clear. But unfortunately I had to leave Pelling that day. In spite of all that I was able to Capture some Photographs hope you all like those. This was my first trip alone. I want to give a name to my trip, that is “ The Call of Passion”. I was very much enjoying the beauty of Nature in Pelling and the Simplicity of Sikkim. I think my journey was incomplete, I need more time and took more Photograph . But I had a small amount of money. I promise myself I will go again........because it,s the call of Passion.
