FRIDAY 22nd JULY

Good morning all weather dull and overcast.All packed up and ready for the off,after last minute
shopping in the town would you believe it the heavens have opened just our luck.Went into town
no where open !typical!back to the van filled up with diesel and the journey continues to port
arrived at port and was told to go to the ticket office to see if we could get on an earlier ferry
but they wanted £53 pound each van so we opted for the 4pm ferry instead which is free
boarded ferry had dinner and spent more money ferry crossing was ok arrived back in England
and it was sunny now for the journey home rain nearly all the way home.

What a trip,long roads,plenty of miles,beutifull scenery.
Great campsites,good food,plenty of beer and wine,
and to top it off EXCELLENT COMPANY well heres to our
next trip somewhere anywhere.

THURSDAY 21st JULY

Had a good lie in no workers as it is a bank holiday today.Dry and warm today.Had breakfast
then went for a walk into ypres not many shops open great lesley and yvonne cant spend any money
walked back to the campsite a different way along the ramparts had our dinner and chilled all
afternoon.Went out for our last tea of the holiday.Watched the last post at the menin gate
back to the campsite for our last few drinks really dont want to go back,have to sometime though
oh well goodnight all.

WEDNESDAY 20th JULY

Awoken up early by the workmen who are putting a new track at the sports stadium at the back of the
campsite went for showers sat outside with a cup of tea watching people leaving,lovely
to think we are staying for another two nights,sun is out hip hooray!!
walked into ypres for a look round not changed much stopped off at a cafe and had a milkshake
for a change back to campsite for some dinner sat outside the vans then all of a sudden
what a downpour,soon dried up out for tea in ypres back to the van for more drinks
and a game of dominoes more drinks bed time

TUESDAY 19th JULY

We woke up early in altenahr,so cant tell what the weather is going to be like but after riva del garda
its much cooler.went for a walk into altenahr everywhere was shut they dont seem to come to life till
about 10:00am.had a coffee felt a few spots of rain.Left altenahr about 11:ooam.Hooray we are on our
way to belgium.Arrived at ypres campsite about 16:00pm there are four vans in front of us
not sure we will get on.Yes were on the site,been shopping for tea at aldi,had tea and drinks
lesley and yvonne first to bed tony and graham still outside drinking.

MONDAY 18th JULY

Morning all!! what a difference,weather here in natters is awfull rain all night long and this is
supposed to be our holiday not much sleep for graham and yvonne no electric for a drink
setting of to altenahr GERMANY.Arrived at camp site about 6:30pm what a journey stopped of for a
picnic and to strech our legs just had a well deserved cuppa went out for tea ,its strange
as there is not a lot of people about and many of the pubs and bars are not open.
back to the van for a nightcap more wine coffee for lesley.

Left the campsite after having our breakfast in the cafe at campsite travelling to austria campsite
natterer see for 1 night lovely views over the brennan pass arrived just after dinner
had lunch tony and graham are trying out the lake very cold,out for tea and more drinks.

SATURDAY 16th JULY Morning all!! had a lie in today till 8:30am another warm day but overcast,had breakfast then went into riva del garda to do more shopping!!! more money spent had dinner out more drinks came back to camp spent the afternoon around the pool siesta time going out for tea last night in riva del garda meal was excellent walked back to camp for last time drinky poos outside van early night

FRIDAY 15th JULY Morning everyone,well its another nice day,breakfast round at the stubbs tea and pastries more fun in the kayak today on the lake this morning just got back kayaking on the lake was good but current was very strong still we had a laugh and no one fell in,tony went for a swim in the lake to cold for the rest of us,had half hour on the lake side then back to the camp for dinner,quite breezy this afternoon free tea tonight pizza and pasta yummy.watched pirates of the carrabian 3 more drinks good night all

THURSDAY 14th JULY

Well hello everyone another warm day had breakfast we are off for a bike ride to TORBLE
had a paddle in the lake cycled back along to ARCO had a picnic aching bums,legs,and back
cycled back to RIVA around the pool for a few hours then a long siesta got ready to go out
had tea out back to the van for more drinks.

WEDNESDAY 13th JULY

Up early again warm and overcast,went into town to the local market in riva del garda,
then caught the ferry into limonie had a couple of hours there lovely little place with loads
of lemon trees and realy clean.Caught the ferry back it was warm and raining nice and cool
made our own tea by the van tomato and mozerella and basil for starter followed by
meat balls and pasta lovely meal oh and of course more wine.Sat under the barn playing dominos
watching the lightening also thunder was loud teemed down with rain more drinks

Up early carried our kayaks to the lake,got togged up and we were in,well yvonne nearly was fell
out the other side,went from one side to the other was great,currants are very strong
this afternoon has been really windy.Had our brunch around the van and just chilled all afternoon
free tea tonight in the meeting place grilled chicken with potatoes or lasagne

washed and showered walked into town to meet up with davo and ann spurr had a few drinks with them
looked around the shops again!!! stopped for a pizza for dinner walked back to the site spent
all afternoon around the pool.would you believe it we watched mama mia outside on the computer

SUNDAY 10th JULY

another beutifull sunny day it has been an absolute scorcher today,walked to the coop for some
provisions,after dinner we stayed around the pool.went for a walk into town had tea out,
back to the van for more wine and snow grouse flashes of lightening followed by thunder
had to get everything in quick took grahams awning down also the flag pole.

SATURDAY 9th JULY

Morning all up early again went for a shower :no water no electric cant make a brew water and
electrick came back on at 8:00am,weather already scorching collect food provisions for dinner and tea.
sat around the pool in the morning had lunch back to the pool.
Tea time had our tea outside yvonne and grahams van sorry Motorhome
pork and veal kebabs with salad yum yum going for a walk into the town had a couple of drinks
in the yacht bar lovely sitting drinking and watching the world go by

THURSDAY 7th july

Left at 9:00am another lovely day sun shining as we leave,stopped for a break on the services
had our picnic photo attched what a journey 9hr driving arrived at NATTERER SEE AUSTRIA
at 8:00pm lovely scenery on the way down guess what tea out again followed by beer and snow grouse
slept like a log,night all.

Left natterer see 10:00am in pouring down rain.Had a journey over the brennan pass saw some
beutifull scenery stopped for a break the weather was gloriousl arrived in riva del garda
after tony got lost yvonne and graham panicking but eventually found them site lovely and clean
free tea tonight pasta and pizza plenty of beer. Walked into town picked up some wine for our
new liquid diet. drunk goodnight all!!!!!

WEDNESDAY 6th july

Morning all!! what a restless noisy night rain on roof of van,tony snoring and phones welcoming us to france
even though we are still in england,cup of coffee well deserved.
Borded the ferry at 8:00 just had breakfast duty free 4ltr snow grouse picture attached
stopped in belguim for a bite to eat pic attached,arrived in ALTENAHR Germany at 6:00pm,
sun was out fantastic didnt last for long rain followed us.what a lovely,friendly campsite see photo
lovely little village just how you would expect it to be like tea out again early night
long journey tomorrow.

Our big journey started at 10:30
Travelling down to deal in kent.would you believe it les came to wave us off picture attached.
stopped of at the services on the A14 for a bite to eat photo attched.Arrived at deal 5:30
campsite nice and quiet told tony no chocks yvonne has already had 6 biscuits.view from campsite
