aloha contrasts

I was 7y.o. when I got my 1st camera, and I still keep it. I always remember my 2 favourite shots with the 1st roll: a portrait of my dad happily singing when I rolled the shower curtain, and a portrait of my mum, lovingly preparing 1 of her fabulous special meals when I ran into the kitchen.
A bit less than 20 years and 4 cameras later, I received my very first DSLR from my very first models. Five years later, it remains with me, after accompanying me through Europe, Australasia and North America, all kinds of weather and uncountable passport controls.
I'm a passionate image capturer, very patient and spend as long as needed to capture the moment. I’ve been a sports person my entire life, practice adventure & extreme sports, love challenges, am creative and a very hard worker.
Recently quit my job, and moved to a new place, to focus and invest in my training to become a photographer. I'm very motivated, have vision and see the details within the big picture. Easily adapt to new circumstances and am very keen to assist Jason Edwards on this chapter. This scholarship will help me to learn so much, improve and keep on developing my photography skills.
I am so ready for the assignment

Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I’m a very adventurous person, with a zest for living experiences, travelling around the world and being able to communicate, through image, the wonders that I find on my way.Photography is one of my biggest passions; I patiently enjoy capturing the particular beauty of every situation. Travelling is a way of experiencing and living. I’ve lived in Europe, America and Australasia, relating to all kinds of people and environments, so I easily adapt to new circumstances.I’m a professional (and lover) of PE and Sports; I like keeping active and fit, on/underwater, on/under land and air.I’m (self-taught) creating a website (www.dcboheme.wix.com/damarisqhr) with a photography section. I believe that I’m talented and capable but am also aware that I need practice, observation, resources and training to develop a career as a travel photographer. This, my willingness to help and collaborate with others, my unwavering enthusiasm and hard-work, make me an ideal candidate.I’m very keen to assist Jason Edwards on his journey, dedicating my days and nights to finding the best places and situations to capture, learning about Greenland, to communicate it all to the world with my ameliorated skills.
