My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

On my visit to Puncak Jaya, a remote regency in midst of Papua highlands, I often see kids play in the school yard. In a place where the price of everything is doubled -because of the high transportation cost-, these kids know nothing about Nintendo DS or computer game or even cellphones.
Through this series of photos, I want to capture these kids’ world, where even the simplest game can turn into something very exciting to them.
By submitting these photos, I wish to evoke people to appreciate more and rejoice things in life.
As for my self, I always love to go to places, meet people and learn new cultures. I like to explore new things and new world, to help enriching my point of view. I believe that the more I see, the more grateful I am on things that I used to take for granted.
Most importantly, I feel a strong desire to document life and its fractions, to help to give a little perspective.
It would be a priceless experience, if I can enhance my skill of photography and explore South Africa with Mr. Jason Edward.
