My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

These are just a few of the photo's that I have taken whilst traveling around my home, Australia. I think that we have one of the most beautiful, diverse and plentiful countries which a lot of Australians take granted for. I tend to carry my camera with me everywhere I go, as you never know when you could come across something. I don't have an expensive camera, but I work with what I have and think that I do alright with that. Photography is my passion and I would love to learn more and make a career out of it, if given the opportunity. I dropped out of school at a young age in the remote town of Cairns Far North Queensland. Photography seems to be an expensive career to get into and there is a lot of competition out there. This is why I would love to be the finalist for this scholarship so that I can have the opportunity to do something that I have so much passion for. I cannot give you a sad story as life in Australia is too pleasant and we have more opportunities than a lot of other people in the world. In saying that; it would still be a life changing experience to be able to participate in this scholarship and I can guarantee that I would not waste one waking hour! Thank you for your time and I hope that you would consider my application.
