Rum Point

We like it so much here that Pat is thinking about buying some beach front property. Yesterday we went snorkeling at Rum Point -- a big inlet with water so crystal clear and calm you would think it was man-made. But there were some huge stingrays swimming right past us, so we didn't forget where we really were. We are going back there today to get some sun & then tomorrow we are going to the infamous Stingray City -- a boat tour to go snorkeling on the reef and swim with the stingrays. Fun!

Big Southern

Here's the link to our condo in case anyone is interested. We are in a 2 bedroom, two and a half bath condo -- upstairs and downstairs. We can't believe how close we are to the edge of the water -- it almost sounds like one of those wave machines people buy at the Sharper Image. The pool is 10 feet from our patio door, then the beach, & the water's edge is only another 30 feet or so. Pat is making friends everywhere we go. "Hi yáll!!" He is doing a great job driving on the LEFT in our jeep.

http://www.turtlenestinn.com/index_new.htm

the amazing race???

Greetings from P.Diddy & Jukie. Pat says he has figured out why I will never be his partner for the Amazing Race. Our 5:15 flight from Memphis didn't leave until 8:30, so we had to run through the Atlanta airport O.J. Simpson style from concourse C to D while they held the plane for us. I found it hard to run in flip flops and he kept looking back over his shoulder at me to make me hurry. We finally got to our Ft. Lauderdale hotel room and got to sleep around 2:00 a.m. Fortunately, our flight out doesn't leave until 12:30. More later . . .

The Day of Departure

Saturday May 12 - We leave this afternoon for our latest adventure! We are headed to Fort Lauderdale, Florida to spend one night before flying tomorrow morning to Grand Cayman. We have a beach front condo just outside of Georgetown. These were just built six months ago and our patio and balcony look out onto the Caribbean -- just steps from the water's edge. We hope the real thing lives up to the gorgeous pictures. Watch out Caymans, here we come!
