My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

My name is Orlando Desmond D’Souza. I’m 20 years old and a student at University of Windsor, Canada. I’m doing my B.A(H) in Communications. I am of Indian nationality but born and brought up in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
I started clicking pictures with my dad’s Olympus film camera at the age of 13. At the age of 16 I got my first very own camera, a Sony Cybershot. I loved going around the neighborhood just clicking pictures randomly of children playing in between buildings, cats in the alleys, cars, tall buildings etc. I came to Canada in 2010. When I went back to Dubai last summer(2012), with the money I earned doing part time work as well as with some monetary assistance from my dad, I bought my first DSLR – Canon EOS 600D. Over the last few months I also bought a Canon EOS Rebel G film camera to try my hand at black and white film photography. It changed my view on how to observe nature and click snaps.
Why must I be chosen for the scholarship? I am passionate about photography. I have the passion to learn more. It would help me to improve and develop the skills I possess and moreover help me to correct my wrongs and make them right.
