Photos: My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

I was influenced by my father who gave him a camera at the age of 13. Given to me to occupy my time. Taking pictures of family and friends, I found that through my lens I could tell a story without picking up a pen. After teaching one year of Graphic Arts and Photography at my High School Alma Mata, Lincoln High school in Jersey City, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia where I discovered a passion for taking unexpected and deep, unrehearsed pictures of his subjects.

some of my work has been featured in Billboard, Jet, People, Wire Image/Getty Images, The New York Times and many other publications. My work is also featured in “I’m a father” by David Manuel and the upcoming and highly anticipated “I’m a mother” and “I’m and Athlete.”
The purpose of my photography is to take beautiful pictures that embody the true storyteller. I feel that if given the opportunity I can tell more stories through my lens.
