Gypsy Shepherds

Hi, I’m Nupur D’souza, I’m 27 and have been in love, since I was very young, with photographs and the stories they tell. Time is a precious commodity and understanding it, respecting and managing it are constant human endeavours. Photography is the best way, I think, to really appreciate the value of time that is by definition, so fleeting. Being at the right place and time has so much meaning when one is a photographer. The pleasure of being able to encapsulate a sliver of time into that decisive moment when you release the shutter, is an experience that transcends into something spiritual for me; as if by virtue of being there with my camera ready, I am an integral part of that instant, and thus, also matter. It takes so much skill and experience to reach that level of intuitive photography but by interacting thoroughly with the environment that I am photographing, I find myself growing more mature and perceptive about the story that is hidden in the moments before me. <br/>I've always wanted to be a riveting story-teller, and being able to narrate that through my photographs will be an incredibly fulfilling experience for me and one that I am willing to work myself to the bone for.
