Notting Hill carnival https://journals.worldnomads.com/notthinghill/ Fri, 10 Apr 2026 15:55:48 GMT World Nomads Adventures I grew up in the NSW countryside, moving from Cobar as a young kid, closer to the coastline, to go to school in Bathurst, and afterwards, finally made the move to Sydney after finishing school. I never had any strong desires to 'be' anything when I was in school, or for the few years afterwards. It was when I worked as a lithographic print machinist for a very brief time that I realised I enjoyed aesthetics, which led me to leave, and go work in a Kodak camera store on the Northern Beaches. I was distracted a lot by personal issues, and never took up photography as a result. I've now been working as a Digital product designer for the last 5 years, and in recent years have had the clarity of mind to focus my attention back on photography, and my attempts to capture and record some of the more interesting things I have seen.
