A 'place' I have visited

My name is Antranik. I discovered photography at 12 when my art teacher showed me the principle of light sensitive paper development. 9 years later I got my first camera and started playing with it

I shot in B&W for some time, spending long hours in the dark room. In 2006, I switched to digital photography. Its flexibility and the virtually unlimited shots it offers allowed me to refine my technique

My passion turned into an addiction, but the time I had to dedicate to it wasn’t enough. I quit my job in 2010 and traveled around the world for 2.5 years by motorcycle, carrying only what was strictly necessary - including my camera

Having my camera pushed me to go further, looking for authentic places and people. I crossed the Dasht-e Kavir desert in Iran, met with animist tribes in Burma and sailed with Kuna Yala Indians off the coast of Colombia.

My work aims to showcase the amazing cultural and natural diversity of our world, while highlighting its fragility. Photography is a powerful tool to convey a message; it shows a concrete image, while leaving room for interpretation.

I returned from my 92 000 kilometers trip 3 months ago. My objective is now clear: living by my passion
