girls out and about

our last day before we fly home:(

last night - we had the time of our lives!!!!! we went for a dinner cruise along the river and (as usual) were targeted to have fun, fun, fun:) the food was good - but the dancing was better. every time we went to sit down - one of the singers/workers would pull us back up for more dancing - saying 'one more.....one more' - we all had a ball!!!!!!!

this morning we had a different experience - with the tuk tuk - different from phuket - more like a 3 wheel motorbike - but we only wanted to see the sights - they kept insisting we go to the jeweller, tailor...... and more - and when we wouldn't buy anything - they stopped smiling - mum had the sh*#'s

renna and mum met a girl from sydney and she is going to meet us tonight at 6 for some good CHEAP shopping - the night bazzar.

tomorrow we need to be packed and ready to leave by 5:30AM and we don't get back to australia until almost 10PM (bubbles says forever!!!!!) and that's just at the airport - not even home yet.

we made it !!- safe and sound - BANGKOK

hi everyone - we are still alive - incase you were wondering - we landed in bangkok............. and have been shopping ever since:)

it is very busy here - traffic jams every day - 24/7 - but the air is not as polluted as we thought.

it is easy getting lost over here - as we have already done!!!! we tried to catch the sky rail - but ended up heading the opposite way on the wrong line - and had to walk 1/2 hour back to where we wanted to go :0 (another shopping centre)

mbk - is good - but not as good as phuket shopping - things aren't really that cheap:( - people aren't as friendly.

we are off on a river cruise tonight to check out the local nightlife -and afterwards - to the night markets ........ for more shopping:)

nearly out of money - bubbles and nik are having a race to see who can spend their money the first - nik's winning !!!!!

our second last day at phuket :(

it has been wonderful here - such friendly and laid-back people - today we had a guide (adam) take us around to the zoo, wang talang (jewellery factory - yes - another one!!!) and where pearls are farmed.

the zoo was a highlight - with piccies taken with a big tiger (bubbles nearly pooped her pants when she was cuddling it and it raored baring it's teeth) and holding a baby cub (very cute - but sharp teeth when he nibbles on your arm and hand!!! ) after a double check to ensure we each still had 10 fingers and 10 toes - we also saw an adorable monkey who just wanted you to hold his hand - renna and nikki were holding his and and rubbing it and he would almost be asleep and when you would go to walk away - he would grab for it again through the cage :(

we also got a photo with the orangatang :)

renna got a photo with a carpet snake wrapped around her shoulders - julie freaked out!!!!

we are sad to leave phuket - and wished we had more time here -

hopefully we will all be back here soon - but tomorrow we fly to bangkok for 4 days (2 if you don't count the day we land and the day we fly out!!!)

out on the water

today was a very busy day - we went to the caves and rock formations (like james bond island - but better) canoing on the water with a guide who did the stroking (of the oar)

they really know aussies here - they see us coming and know they can have fun - and call out 'hey mate' and usually choose us for fun!!!:)

today we had the best canoe paddler - full of laughs and tormenting with an extra swim in the boat by splashing water and saturating fully clothed renna and nikki and bubbles!!!!

when we sat on the beach - we had 6 thai boys that wanted to talk about australia and 'check out the scenery':)

the boys made a lovely rose out of folded palm leaf for each of us and we taught them a few aussie phrases (bull-shit)

they love the word 'ranga' - but we had none on our tour!!!!

nikki says - love to my michael, lachie and brett - had a great swim in the ocean and saw great big jelly fish - the biggest i have seen!!:) love to everyone - and thanks for your comments - we will put some more photos on tomorrow as it is 10:37 here (1:37am in oz)

running out of money fast

today was a day of tours and more shopping!!!!! we were driven around the phuket island to visit the popular sites of phuket - including the cashew factory, buddhist temples, scenic view points and jewellery!! we each bought a momentum of our visit to the jewellery factory with some authentic thai made jewllery:)

after a busy day of tours - we had fingernails painted, pedicures and toenails painted - and ..... matching butterfly tatoos:)(not the sticker type either!)

had kfc and subway for dinner tonight.

Bubbles says: daddyyyyyy.... help - i've got no money left - mum's banned me from spending it until bangkok - so i'm dieing of starvation - you said this would happen - become a fortune teller or just send me money!!!:)

have added photos of sexy mammaa in swimwear and out elephant photos - enjoy x o x

we awoke to an amazingly clear blue sky this morning - (the clearest so far) and our view of the ocean while eating breakfast was picturesque - flat and blue!!!

fanta sea last night was an amazing cultural experience - with pyrotechnics (i think that's how you spell it)- lots of colour and big bangs - and gorgeous baby elephants and tiger cubs. the show was a colourful, musical spectacular with magic people who turn into tigers!!!

we dressed in the traditional thai costumes - and head gear - and had photos taken:)

we thought about taking the baby elephants and tigers home - but then we decided that the seams of our bags might break:)

barb and julie had a relaxing massage this morning (to iron out those knots) nikki, renna and bubles sat at the bar beside the pool and drank yummy thai specials:)

today we went on an elephant trek - the best experience ever!!!

we were most fortunate to have a cheeky elephant carer - who insisted on teasing renna and bubbles with a lizard and putting it in his mouth pretending to eat it:) plenty of giggles and squeals - nearly wetting our nickers :)

we found out that the guide who took us around the elephant camp works from 7am til 5 sometimes 7pm and earns the same flat rate of 100 baht per day. this is equivalent to $4.44 a day!!!

this evening - we had a quick dip in the pool - before retiring to our rooms:)

bubs says - there aren't many hotties here except maccas boys yesterday, hottie last night - .... ok there are a few hotties:) somebody update me on the nikki and k.w story.! liv - i'm still a floppy white b#*&! - floppy-ness increasing - white-ness decreasing - slowly. miss yoouuus - love your gutses - natalie - you're still not getting a present!:P (kidding - already got it!!!!)

Renna says - miss you tristan - i'm having fun - lots a luv ren

Julie says - sends her love to everyone - especially my hubby x o

Nikki says - i hope you get that boat of yours started - (you'd think a mechanic would check the fuel before he went - he he he - just joking:)) love to all three of my boys -

mj and lachie - guess what mummy saw on tv this morning while eating breaky - playschool and bananas and pyjamas!!!! i thought of you both x o x will see you all when we get home!!

day 2 of our trip

with an early rise - of 6:00 - we went down to breakfast for some beautiful breakfast by the ocean - we booked our trips for tues and wed - and we went more............shopping!!!!:)

have spent lots of money - and got some gooooooood bargins:)

the thai people are beautiful - calling out hey there sexy mammaaa (to julie) with lots of smiles and giggles. great fun bartering!!! sometimes not so successful:(

we still have plenty of time to shop in bangkok.

am looking forward to the show tonight - and cuddling the big kitty kats

did no good with the tailor as he was toooooooo expensive - we will try in bangkok.

girls have been lazing in the pool - enjoying the scenery (not necessarily fauna or flora):)

we all went for a lovely relaxing massage - and it is barb's birthday today:)

nikki, renna and bubles are going to get her hair platted for he birhtday - she has just come back from a haircut and looks absolutely great (new woman) - she might get sexy mammaaa tomorrow:)

after an eventful trip through road closures etc. through brisbane where at one stage we were headed back to ipswich - we finally made it aboard our flight with 30 minutes to spare!!!

the trip was generally good - with very little turbulance and the touchdown in bangkok was 10/10.

the only down side of our flight was the lack of sleep, as we all got a massive 1-3 hours sleep total!!!

our plane was delayed a further hour waiting on baord at bangkok to go to phuket.

so with sore bottoms and bags in our hand (and under our eyes) we finally made it to our hotel. it is lovely here so far - and we are yet to take photos of the scenery. everyone is just too exhausted - but tomorrow there will be photos of out and about:)

as everything opens at 11am and doesn't close til 12pm - we are going to the tailors to get some clothes made later this afternoon. tomorrow we have booked a show called fanta sea (where we get to feed and pat baby tigers!!!) and do some more looking around. will keep you posted.
