Australia Day Weekend 2008- Birmingham

Nicole and I headed into birmingham with Rachel (Pommie friend of mine :P) to celebrate the fab holiday know as AUSTRALIA DAY!!!

Stayed in a hotel... the comfort inn and went to the aussie bar The Walkabout Bar. the 3 of us got way to drunk, thinking it would be a good idea to get 2 rounds at the bar cause they took forever to serve you... before you know it we had 3 drinks each...

Fond memories were made, first Pommie boys were met ;D and we learnt the hard lesson that men are the same no matter what country they are from :(

Am glad we got to celebrate Australia day weekend although it would never be quite the same... Aussie Aussie Aussie Oi Oi Oi all the way!!!

oh and we (nicole and i but mostly me)kinda got a guy beaten up... But we saved the day (even though the sambuca shot was taking effect rapidly) FIRST AID LEVEL 2, RECOVERY POSITION AND 999!!!

My time in England

70's Disco at Barnacle Village Hall

Last minute girls night out! Dressed in our finest 70's style clothes Me, Nicole, Debbie and UK Nannie #2 wondered down the street to the Village hall for the 70's disco.

Althought the drinks we cheap as chips... the tight ass' that we were smuggles in our own vodie!! With self poured drinks Nicole and I were ready to dance! and thats what we did! We went as far as requesting the Nutbush... a dance that England is not familiar with :S that didnt stop us though.. nothing could! We dance and drank and dance some more.. then we had another drink!

The disco ended Debbie and I legged it through the field while UK Nannie and Nicole were posh and dignified and walked home using the footpath! We laughed so hard and stumbled inside... poured outselves another drink! mine never got a look in though as i was GONE! passed out in bed where nothing woke me except the urge to throw up!!! Couldnt look at food all morning but it finally passed!! just in times for Jays 3rd Birthday Party... house full of kids+Hangover=grumpy nicole!

Swore i would never drink again.. which i upheld... until the following friday...

Nicole's Birthday Weekend- Birmingham

HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY CLIVEDOG!!!

We headed into birmingham again to celebrate Nicole's 20th Birthday. We got into Brimingham and had lunch (Maccas seems to be the meal of choice with us... plus its the only thing we can find!) then we set off to find the "Nite, Nite!" hotel... up and down the main sreets of birmingham we went but could not find the freaking hotel! maybe it would of helped if we had the address but oh well we got there in the end...

Birmingham was home to the Labor Parties Spring conferance that weekend, which meant the police were out in full.. but not just any police... police with automatic weapons!! scared the crap out of me... i turn around and im face to face with a machine gun! WHAT THE INDEED!

We got to the hotel... which consisted of a bed and shower room... 1 metre from eachother.. no windows just a plasma TV with a live feed of Birmingham City Centre on it AWKWARD!!!. We got all dressed up and headed to our local hang.. the Walkabout Bar where we then got extremely drunk (Nicole couldn't keep up with me!!!) danced till out feel killed, got felt up by a smerf (the little thing! only there were guys who decided it would be cool to paint themselves blue??) then stumbled on home past the men with machine guns!!!
