Disneyland

Went to DIsney today! SO Much fun! The rides are awesome. Got lucky and didn't have to wait in lines much - pretty much got straight on things, the longest we had to wait was probably 10 minutes or so. SO that made it real quick! Got around the park in about three hours. The rides were great but the rest of it i wasn't really that interested in. SHopped it up in the gift shop and got a ton of little things i can give away at christmas to al you lucky people! Not sure what I am going to do tonight, will see what hapens. I am pretty tired... i think the jet lag is kicking in a bit late!

Last day in Hollywood

Woke up early and walked down to see what time the tours left as i really wanted to do a bus tour. STill havent seen the Hollywood sign!

SO i walked down to grumans and had breakfast and checked in on the timing. Ended up being after lunch so i went back to the hotel and packed my bags and checked out.

Walked back to grumans an took HEAPS of photos! The bus tour ended up being later than i was told so i walked arund a bit.

The bus tour was really good. Took stacks of photos and got a good picture of Hollywoods layout.

AFter the hour tour i went to melrose avenue to shop! Turns out Melrose aint that great! Anyhow, didn't buy anything there, even though there were heaps of dog shops.

Walked back into hollywood and wanered around a while longer and had dinner. PIzza by the slice! Huge bits of pizza for little money. Nice.

Headed back to the hotel and greg came and got me and drove me to Orange! Disneyland tomorrow! :)

Hollywood, Santa Monica etc

Another day in Hollywood!

Got up earlyish because I am trying to get my body clock sorted out and it seems to be working! So I was up at 730. Had some HORRENDOUS coffee from the complimentary bar downstairs. Never again. Finished off some leftover pita wrap from last night for breakfast which was great!

So I decided id go on a tour today so I walked down tot Grumans Chinese theatre to see what time the tour went. Turns out it didn't leave until 1230. It was only ten when i got there so I decided I'd go to the farmers market and the Grove.

So the Grove turns out not to be the discount paradise I thought it was, but it is such a coooool shopping centre. It's all outdoors - so fun! There was a musical fountain - I'll try to get a video up.

So I bought some clothes (no free tshirts) and shoes. Also got some stuff from Crate & Barrel for christmas presents. Heap of other stuff too including some posters i really liked! The markets looked great for food and things, cafes etc but I didn't feel like lunch so i just had coffee and a sandwich from Starbucks!

So i came back to the hotel to dump all my bags and went out again, this time to Santa Monica boulevard. AS i was walking down the road this guy starts chatting to me. He introduced himself to me as Mystic (interesting) and shook my hand. He was quite young and dressed well. So we were just chatting as we walked along. Must have walked about a kilometre before i said i was crossing the road. Then he tells me he's homeless and would be grateful for ny coins I might have. Sheesh. I didn't give him any!

So i waked up and down the boulevard and spotted the Pacific Design Centre. Really cool place. MOCA is there too so I went in. THis museum is like SO small! Tiny! ANyhow I bought a statue sculpture of the famous LOVE sculpture. Very nice!

Sore feet set in so i made my way back to the hotel, stopping at Whole Foods to get some water.

SO now I am back at the Hotel and it's about 6. I'm heading out to get some authentic pizza for dinner then go for a wander round in the night to see LA at night.

Hollywood!

The journey begins....

Got in this morning at 8am, after half hour delay. Business class was excellent! The flight flew by (pardon the pun).

Got to the motel 6 and checked in then headed straight out again to get amongst it.

Walked down the stars an saw all the names etc. Was cool - went to grumans chinese theatre etc. Saw where the busses go from which I might do tomorrow. Saw the Kodak theatre s well where they havr th oscars and stuff.

Came home for a while then got the bus to the Beverly centre - huge shopping mall - to buy some shaving stuff, which Clinique in the US dont make anymore .I found some in a drawer at Macys!

So then i came home and had a little rest on the couch for a few hours, watched some tv and plan the rest of my time .

Then i met a guy down the road who took me for a tour of LA in his Mini Coper convertible! Saw everything but got terribly confused!

I dont think I am going to drive on the roads here - everyone is mental! See how we go!
