Photos: Varnasi Weavers Colony

My life definitely made a twist when I decided to graduate in arts .Where I headed to India (Madras) to pursue it. Those three years of sitting through lectures, art tours, fascinated me from deep within. Studied religion and culture in interest ,to find that man had so much to create and learn by.
As a photographer I find inspiration in a lot of things around me. My point of view and how I see the world, is through my lens.
I relate my style to the movements in swirling autumn leaves. They do not move in a particular, fixed direction. Rather they go everywhere the wind takes them.
I see my photography taking the same route –not random but relevant, in that permates different areas to mold into varying ideas. Embedded in this thought, is also my love for the song “The Wind” by Cat Stevens.
Lastly, I take great pleasure in shooting Art and Portraits .For me, the world of art opens the door to creativity, emotions and colors – a vital factor in my photographs which Is why I leap out for being part of this year’s scholarship.
