The colors of the leather and other textil products are all over the narrow streets of the medinas, in every shop, every man and woman, from head to toe. More than simple clothing and acessories, the colors printed on them show off this country´s diversity down to its very soul.

Tanning is the process of treating and colouring skins of animals to produce leather. Hidden in the middle of the Medinas (old towns), the tanneries are one of the many parts of the textil industry of Marocco, which plays a major part in the economy from the country.

And in every shade of blue, green, red and yellow I found a tiny piece of the country. A country that shows its diversity through the simplicity of its heartfelt colors. The red of Sahara, the blue of Chaouen and Essaouira, the yellow seen on the city walls.
