So yesterday I went to the Minh Tu Salon in Hanoi to have my hair coloured - rather apprehensively after what happened in Thailand. However, I could not find a supermarket to buy a box and do it myself like in Cambodia. In addition, the salon indicated that they use Schwarzkopf professional products (which is what my salon uses at home). Well, as my luck would have it, first they died my roots a purple red (and the rest of my hair the right colour). When I tried to explain that I was not happy (through an interpreter), they told me it would wash out to the right color in about three to four washes. I don't think so! The insult to injury was that I was told they overcharged me double of what it should have cost.
The hotel manager came with me today to tell them to fix it and after an hour of having my hair pulled and head pushed around (now I know how the Barbie Head we used to play with felt), I now have bright orange hair. Orange! I was so upset I actually started to cry. How humiliating. The hotel manager suggested he take me to another salon. However, I was pretty sure that if more was done to my hair it would fall out.
I know it is vain but I am really upset about it.
Oh how I miss Nancy!
