Bali Sea Temple https://journals.worldnomads.com/mrsgee/ Mon, 13 Apr 2026 00:39:41 GMT World Nomads Adventures I have spent much of my working life as an artist, painting.I painted from my own cultural exp & imaginings.After 9/11 I saw the world shift & I needed to contribute to human kind. I knew it was time to change so enrolled in a degree in Social Work, to expand my world view & understanding of diff.cultures & issues facing the world. At the end of my study my passion to paint had diminished. I wanted to see the world through my own eyes. I got a job with people who really have exp hardship often sad.My husband suggested I take to the camera as a way to relax & challenged me to a 365 day photo project. We live in a small town & to go out every day to take a photo was often a chore. It made me see our town through new eyes & see its’ beauty. I am particularly interested in light & find it a challenge I need to know more on how to control this in my images & get that 1 perfect shot no editing just straight from the camera. The camera has given me a new world view & respect for the people. That little black box is the key to so many untold stories & I am just in the embryonic stages of a journey into a new art form & eager to learn.
