Last Call

Well the days down south are numbered here so this will be my last post. Thanks to those who followed along although it may not have always been edge of your seat posts! The highlight of the past week was a day trip to the most beautiful isla mujeres where we hopped on a catamaran to the island took a golf cart touring around and ate some amazing food, oh yeah did i mention met Pauly D! haha

So now as i reflect back on my first days in costa rica to my final ones in playa del carmen I have made lasting memories and friends. Though I have had good and bad expierences along the the way, the lessons learned and knowledge achieved is more than one will ever learn from a book, school, tv, internet, etc.. So in the next few days I´ll make my transition back to Canadian life, and though i´m sad to leave it will be good to see all of you again! And now the question is, what life holds in the next chapter?!?! see you all soon!..............................

Good morning all,

hope is all is well, i just wanted to connect with everyone and say all is well. i have been staying in a hostel till now but i found my own little place in playa del carmen which ill be staying in for the remainder of the trip. ive managed to get very little done but alot of beach last week but i suppose thats not something to complain about. I met some very cool people from sarina and weve hung out a few times this week, as well as met some friends from the area and cindy from saskatoon which ive known for some time now. tonight were going to a true authentic place where there is a salsa and merengue band will be performing. so goodbye for now and hope all have a good weekend!

matt

Cuba was blast with the most beautiful beaches ive seen! the only downfall is the lack of interent in the country which is no problem when your there short term but makes trying to stay there longer much more dificult. So with that said it's off to Mexico, landing in Cancun Sunday! If anyone happens to be in the Riviera Maya in the coming weeks email me at trayohseis@hotmail.com and we might meet up... till then chao!

Pura Vida

Good Morning Vietnam.

Pura Vida (Pure or Good Life) is Costa Ricas most used saying and its easy to understand why as it is a beautiful country. This moning I awoke in Manuel Antonio, CR which is a lazy surfer town on the pacific coast. I am currently in Quepos awaiting a bus for San Jose. As many other plans one makes in life they seem to constantly change. So why not head to Cuba?! thats right i will in transit for a few days than Cuba on the 19th! after a few weeks there i will be back in canada and in a search of one more quick adventure. so if anyone is interested let me know. time to go.

peace, love and respect!

Paradise in David

Good morning everyone im typing from the city of David (pop 100,000 or something) in the Chiriqui province of Panama. Here in the lowlands of the Mountains that seperate bocas and chiriqui it quite dry and always super hot. Im staying at one of the nicest hostels that i think exsists with a swimming pool and lounging area in the back with chairs and hammacks. My bed is in a little hut on stilts that is more of a tree house with no doors or windows but very relaxing (other than the neighbors rooster) its now time for a plate of lunch and a dip to cool off.

talk to you all later

matt

Adiós

Happy new years everyone and best wishes. Although I would call it more of dream than a resolution I'm ready for what lies ahead (or so I think). I now await the flight, the crowed airports and my first sleep in a strange and marvelous new country. And so it begins! Thanks to Naomi Frank Brodie Alexa and Rocky for having me in their home, the card which many of you signed (I caught myself laughing aloud at a few of the comments!) and for your thoughts and prayers. Talk to you soon!
