The time is near my friends for me to come home!!

6 Months did not last but the memories will last a lifetime! I am sad but excited to see the ones I love the most.

Money is the problem, life style is the other, my journey has been short but exciting and scary, fun and everything you can think of.

I have been through hell and back on this trip and have had to be so strong and learn to not be walked upon by anyone, maybe this has made me too tough. I learnt a life lesson, in which everyone must do, from this situation and the first time to really be alone with no one but yourself to get you through… it was hard and tougher than anyone knew. And I have come out of this a better person.

I know you can not run away from your problems they only follow you, no matter how far away you are to them, but the time away makes you heal a lot quicker.

But also I have had the time of my life, I have done something every day since I have been away in April. I am exhausted and still smiling. I have seen some of the most amazing things met so many wonderful and quirky fantastic people, I see things in a new light and have stood in places I had only dreamt about. This has been the time off my life

Things become clearer though and you see what you really miss and what matters most to you. This for me are my family my friends and my home. What may have always been right there in front of me and I never really looked, just looked at other things to complain about.

I never thought I would want to travel the world and I am sure it will not be the last time that I step onto a plane, but this time it will be different I will be prepared I will come for holidays and adventures, not for work and stress. I have only built on what I have seen and learnt, and I feel a tiny bit more educated than I have been as there is so much to see and I have done so little of this massive world.

I cant wait to have a good sleep in my own bed, my own pj’s and have a home cooked meal, instead of eating whatever is cheep and fits into the budget, I cant wait to see my girls, my mum and hug the ones I love. I can’t wait to share funny stories that my mother can’t hear!!! And that I can’t write! Because they think I am an angel!!!!..... Well I am!!! J

I can’t wait to settle down with my career when I come home and really make my fitness a priority, god only knows since April it has not been a priority and will be doing a detox when I get home. That is for cretin.

I am also sad to be leaving so soon, I wanted to see so much more, and do so many things, it’s like you get this erge to go jet setting everywhere and see everything and taste the colours of the world so to speak! If only I were a millionaire! I would see the world!

Tai Pei, Italy – Noli, Albenga, Genova, Savona, Alessio, Andora, Sportorno, Finale Ligure, Pietra Ligure, Loano, Rome, London… and now home to Australia. What a journey what a life time experience and it has been great!

So many wonderful stories to keep and tell till im off seeing my children overseas saying oh yes I remember when………

Thanks to everyone that kept in contact with me you made my journey not seem so lonely. Cheers to coming home!

A weekend in London.

Have been working at an Accountants in Oxford Circus London, the main shopping area and the place to be. The biggest department stores you have ever seen and some great bargains to be found. Lunch time I walk around dreaming of clothes I only wish I could afford and people everywhere!! I am a PA for a accounts department for 3 people the office is 7 stories and is the 1 company and they have about 6 companies in London and all across the world.

Friday finished, get home finally after battling through the crowds and tube stations Friday night fever everywhere! Finally get home and have some drinks and a good chat and laugh ready for the next day of sight seeing in London, fingers crossed it’s a nice sunny day….

Saturday morning,,,, sleep in finally!!! Get up and it’s the most amazing sunny day, finally jade gets up we get dressed and ready to be a tourist!! Camera !!! SHIT! Forgot to charge the battery its ok should last a few hours. . .

Right ready to go out the door………………………….POORING RAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“oh well got your umbrella??” yep OK lets go were going!!!!

To the train station pouring rain soaked every part of the body apart from where the small umbrella hid us from the rain… only our head. Got back packs on as going out for dink later on for one of jade’s friend. Never mind all good, get to Victoria, get bus ticket jump on tour bus stop raining sunshine it’s a beautiful day! So excited now, Big Ben & parliament House – the most amazing beautiful building, Westminster Abbey, The London Eye, Imax Cinema – HUGE, Trafalgar Square, Eros Statue, Piccadilly Circus – full of thousands of people massive lights flashing, SANYO signs theatres, The lion King Musicals, Wicked Musical, Mamma Mia, everything you can think of. The streets of Monopoly, its such a beautiful place.. Madame Tussauds with the wax figures of famous people, although I only get to look on the outside of these things as they all cost money to go into. Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Buckingham palace, so many things to see! Oops raining again get the brolly out!!!! AHHHH ITS NOW “PISSIN DOWN!!”

Bus tour finishes right star bucks and a cake to satisfy the wet body.

Up to a bar and have a few drinks, again the money does not go to far, its cold I look like a rat and time to go home, have a few drinks there and party at home. . . . . jade has a Jug of PIMMS>>>>>>>>>> MISSY hugs the bowl!!!! ALL NIGHT!!!!!

Into town again its raining, cold were hungry pub meal for lunch, by this stage my week and half wage not going to get much further,,,,,,, ohhh dear… oh well im here now!!! Go to massive IMAX theatre where they have the premieres of blockbuster movies, leopard print seats box of popcorn share a drink and the wait is ogre!!!! Shreck the 3^rd!!!!!!!!! Laughed sooo much I was crying!!!outside the theatre was a big marquee set up with performers from all the musicals around London, was fantastic free to get in and outside were the Original cars from major movies………………. Low and behold who should be there,,,,,,,,,,,, CHITTY CHITTY BANG BANG!!!! I scream with excitement and push on lookers aside to get a photo of my beloved car! Jade is looking at me as if I had gone insane!! Who is chitty chitty what ??? what?>?? she says/…….. ha ha ha oh the poor girl never seen it, so I start to – word for word sing all the songs until she hits me….

ANYWAYS

Off to some shops to buy some cheep nasty London gifts mum and her bloody pvc bag with a bus on it…………………………… 100 stores later and the shop assistant says,,, oh yes I know the ones they are an old model sorry no one has them anymore… ha ha anyways tired cold and hungry again we head for our journey home. The streets are funny I keep tripping over from the cobblestone then turn around as and give the ground a death stare as if it helps to do that. Early to bed to start the week at work again…

Tuesday today mmm missy is hungry,,,,,, ill have the soup please. No worries you take card??? Yes sure,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, um 1 problem missy has no money. How embarrassing. Well looks like this weekend will be a tight one. No food till Monday next week when I get paid. Oh far out!!!! Might have to busk on the street, did not plan that one very well. I am officially broke I have 2pence to my name. and a little worried……

Well might have to just take back some pressies I brought for the family………….. ha ha ha joke.

Hello all, currently in washing my clothes, and they have internet so that’s a bonus!

Still in Rome, and feet are very sore today, it has been too hot to wear sneakers so I have been wearing the old thongs, as good as they are I have massive blisters under and in between my toes... ouch, so today I will take it easy maybe this afternoon I will go for a bit of a walk. I feel like I should be doing so much more while I am in Rome but I can’t go too far because I need to do everything on a budget and Rome is very exp!!! Meeting new people everyday still and having allot of fun hearing about where people have been and getting funny stories of what has happened along the way. Today more than any other day I miss home, the little things like my own bed, and bathroom. Because I tell you what my back is killing me... and my god it’s so hot here. I will be here for around 1 more week so I am not too worried about going and doing everything in the next few days, I will read up on allot today and tonight and plan something. There is this gps talking walking tour which you get your headphones and it will take you around Rome you do it in your own time and its a good price so I will say that next week I will be doing that plus you can walk at your own pace, and stop when ever you like.

I went out to dinner last night with some room mates from australia and also the uk, i had my first steak in 6 weeks!!!! yep 6 weeks and my god it was good, it was not the best i ever had but it hit the spot! and the waiter gave me a long stem rose it was very sweet, i thought i was special but app every woman that goes there gets one which i think is so sweet, but kinda funny because when we went back to the hostel the guy must have thought that russell brought it for me, which was kinda funny. the whole hostel is booked out and most places around town and is getting really busy here as the weather is getting warmer. i tell you its really hot here. there is a water park somewhere around too so maybe one day i can go and let loose as the big kid i am! there is also a theme park kinda thing, but those things are always exp and with very little left not much of that you can do, but all in all is very interesting place, its very exciting to see something that we do not have back home and something that has been here for so many years and to actually see that is real. I really enjoy the buskers here they are actually really talanted and very often i stop and listen for a while then will gove them some spare euro.

I have no microwave at the hostel and now have been moved to the top floor so about 8-10 i think flights of stairs, but they have a fridge up there so i consider myself lucky so i am going to get some things that i can have cold.and some fruit and veg! yes it is very exciting stuff. i can access a web cam and mic here now so if anyone wants to chat pls msg me and i will chat with you. xxx

ANYWAY I am off now to check out some other sites of rome and will post some more info and better stuff later xxx

Hello again

Well have now found out that i will be staying in rome for about 10 working days.... maybe longer this is how long it will take for me to get a working visa over there, again today met a great guy in the internet place of all places, he is from melb and him and his girlfriend are travelling here his name is vic guthree, so even in rome when i feel all alone there is someone to talk to, just have to find someone that is travelling alone so i can hang with for the day or least share a bottle of vino .... or 2!!!!

Ok first time that I have updated this web site in a long time. So much to tell but ill try to keep it short as I can.

Noli - arrived into Rome then flew to Genoa from there we got into Fabio’s car and drove about 140km down the highway and winding roads to noli. Noli is beautiful small town right on the beach and winding roads, it is beautiful. Got to my room, a small room with 2 single beds above the waist in height. No sink no mirror just a room. The loo next to the room and a shower next to that, hot water was a problem. I could not open my windows for the simple fact that someone may think that I actually lived there.

When I got past the initial shock of the room and the lack of fresh air and sunlight I went exploring with Stacy. Stacey is the other girl that was hired to be a nanny for the 3 girls. We went to surrounding towns and places around about 50km each way of noli, the locals do not speak any English and most of the areas are very family run business. The streets are narrow and very old pavement. The family was hard to work with and I never was fast enough for them ever though I was running my ass off every time I worked. Anyways I said short right...

I made some wonderful friends there mainly 2 people that made my stay there really fantastic., Sarah and Evan. Evan runs a bar and a clothing shop and Sarah works at da ines as a waitress they were fantastic, I think I rubbed off on them with my aussie drinking, because normally Italians buy 1 vino and sit on it for an hour or even all night. So it was a shock to see us all having a good piss up every now and then, I walked allot around the town and to sportono, another small town about 25 mins walk away which had an internet point. For those of you on my email list you will know that.

Anyway the new update......

I have told the family that it just had not worked out and with out going into to much detail I now have left Noli, the goodbye was not very warming let me tell you. It ended up with my NEW SUNNIES being torn off my face and broken by Carolyn and scratching my beautiful face!!! I didn’t care about that more the fact that my sunnies were new!!! HELLOOO!!!!!!! Anyway I look back on this and will have a chuckle. I was accused of not being Australian and every insult under the sun. And still I managed to keep my cool. how the hell did I do that.... must be st chris around my neck with my star..... Eve and mum will understand that.

I escaped on the train to Genoa for the night, went to the aquarium and then went walking around the city, I met the most amazing couple form America, I actually bumped into them 3 times then again this morning at the train station, they were so lovely and I hope that one day we will cross paths again. Genoa is beautiful place and the people there are fantastic. Then early on the train this morning to Rome where I have had lunch and now updating you guys on what is going on!!!

Tomorrow I hope to go to the UK embassy and apply for a working visa, I have everything crossed that they will let me apply here and not have to go home seeing I am so close to the UK from here. I will update with photos soon all my love elissa x x x x x
