      <title>Mucugê</title>
      <description>&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;Mucugê was baptized with this name, &lt;u&gt;because&lt;/u&gt; of being the name of the river that stay around of the city that refer to a fruit eaten by the Indians which was find in Chapada Diamantina&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;The city of Mucugê was established in 1844, when the prospector Cazuza of the Meadow discovered, in the river-bed Mucugê, lain of diamonds never found before. The diamonds attracted prospectors' of all places of country that it gave rise to the Diamantiferous Cycle in the Bahia. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;A little time before sheltering a varied population, persons of all the places of the country and foreigners (Arabs, Jews, Frenchmen). &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;In the past the city of Mucugê was known like Town of saint Isabel of the Paraguaçu and had the name of Customs of Saint João of the Paraguaçu too. The city faced a period of decadence, &lt;u&gt;but&lt;/u&gt; soon thanks to the agriculture of the coffee in the decade of 80, the cultivation of cereals and the creation of cattle. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;&lt;span&gt;In the year of 1985 was created &lt;span&gt; &lt;/span&gt;the National Park of Chapada Diamantina that shelters 52 % of great natural beauty: rivers with &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span&gt;waterfalls, canyons and valleys. The valley of the Paty is considered one of the most beautiful of the world. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;In May of 1999 the Municipal Park of Mucugê was created, where the project “Sempre Viva” is developed, that the extraction of the plant has &lt;b&gt;keep on&lt;/b&gt; trying to ally to technological inquiries, structuring of the Ecotourism and generation of jobs. &lt;u&gt;However&lt;/u&gt; some person don´t think that´s important, &lt;u&gt;so&lt;/u&gt; they don´t&lt;span&gt;  &lt;/span&gt;follow the rules.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;Is in the June parties that Mucugê expressed the tribute to a patron of the city: Saint João Batista.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p class="ecmsonormal"&gt;&lt;span&gt;&lt;font size="3"&gt;All these reasons and much more, make of Mucugê a place with great potential for the development of the tourism.
