Photos: My Photo scholarship 2011 entry

These photos represent the urban life that I live in Boston, MA. I grew up 3 miles from Boston, but have always found the huge buildings, the tourists, the residents and the events happening so different, a melting pot of the United States. My name is Michelle Semler. I am a 27 year old photographer who absolutely loves wildlife, traveling and learning as much as I can about the things and places that I do take photos of. It has always been a dream of mine to go to Africa and take photos of everything that I can. I want to be able to absorb so much about the culture and wildlife that I experience. I know it is the polar opposite of Boston's landscape and that is what makes it so exciting for me. I truly appreciate your time and consideration. Everyone aspires to be a photographer for National Geographic and being one would make my wish come true. I also appreciate Gap Adventures and South Africa Tourism for making this possible.
