Hey Everyone,

Long time no update sorry sorry, life atm isnt that exciting cept when it comes to days off and party time lol.

Yesterday was THE BEST DAY of my trip so far, skydiving was by far the most exciting thing i have ever done in my life. The weather, the location, team skydive, the hot aussie guy on my back LOL ts a experience you have to have (even if your parents think your completely bonkers for doing it - oh yeh oops havent told them i did it yet, should do that lol)The feeling of freefall is the strongest adrenaline rush i have ever felt, and then the floating back down to the ground and the views ooo so amazing really make me wanna do it again straight away COMPLETELY TOTALLY AWESOME

Now I am back at camp for another few days before the last changeover weekend ( yay more time to party). Cant believe i only have 2 more weeks of camp left and then travel, and then only a little over a month till im home.

If anyone is wanting pics website = http://s210.photobucket.com/albums/bb223/meghandrew/

If anyone is wanting to contact me, email is = meghan-andrew@hotmail.com

well im out laters

P-A-R-T-Y its party time

Hey Everyone,

Yesterday was the last day of staff training, today all the kiddies are coming. Yesterday was heaps fun (and funny). We had more lectures bout camp life blah blah etc etc then we cleaned out the boatshed and then the last lectures. Funniest thing was when a fish bit Ryans nipple while he was diving for fish net.

Once that was all done, it was party time - toga bowling. Awesome fun - bowling, pizza, tonga train, dancing to the company song (YMCA) and a dance off (yes a dance off at a bowling place) with another camp - alot fun.

Next two weeks are gonna be hectic - teaching, organising the windsurfin gear so i can start teaching next week and being wiht kids 24/7. Having heaps of fun thou and have 2 go.

xox megs

Camp

Hey all,

Arrived at camp yesterday arvo. Apart from being forgotton about at the bus station its great,

Real nice place, real nice people - heaps good!

The camp is massive, they own something like 3.5 islands across the lake as well. Bit disapointed about the boast, only two boats are in "sailable" condition, but a few windsurfers so hopefully boats ready once i done finishing teaching windsurfing. Ive been tryna call home but cant get mobile to work so mum/dad im fine - stop worrying (dunno if u were or not)

We just doing staff training until the weekend - nothing exciting

The animals around here are pretty cool - squirrels, chipmunks and turtles , its cool!

thats bout all i got for now, talk soon

xox megs

Update

Flew from Los Angeles to Portland via Chicago yesterday, pretty much took all day but slept like a baby on both flights - shame i wasnt able to do that on the big flight!

Stayed at the Travelodge - was pretty dodgey! didnt get to sleep till 2am, woke up at 8.30am and went n had breakfast and checked out. Kinda annoyed atm, United charged me $50 excessive baggage handling, somehow my bag put on 4kgs in Los Angeles (and to think i didnt even open it. Then they totally broke it, smashed the lock n all, FANTASTIC! and to add to that i was moved to a flight a hr earlier at Los Angeles and only just made it. Lesson: always check to see if your flights have been changed.

Breakfast was funny thou, the menu was crazy! A healthy meal is 15gs of fat (2 eggs, ham, hash brown and toast) - was thinking i shoulda ordered plain toast and gone and gotten my vegemite. It was also my first lesson in learning to talk slower as the waiter didnt have a clue what i was saying.

Now i am waiting for my bus to Augusta (Camp), will update asap

xox megs

Day One: LOS ANGELES

Hey All,

Its 8am, ive been in Los Angeles a little over a day after a flight that seemed never ending. Getting to the flight was the most stressful thing with 2 flat tyres - thanks dad! Lucky the flight was running late so i made it.

Touchdown in Los Angeles at 6.30am to broken customs computers so getting through took a little under 3hrs - i now know why people are so eager to get off the plane so fast!

Getting out of LAX was one experience too, people tryna sell me stuff while i was waiting for my shuttle bus saying stuff like "how would you like to do 1 good deed today" - not the best thing after such a nice flight

Arrived at Radisson Hotel at 10.30 -ish after missing one shuttle bus lol, met some other CCUSA members and started "hanging". We went for a walk around the area, asked one lady for directions and she replied "why would you walk that far, why wouldnt you drive" lol, on the subject of cars, i thought there was some bad drivers in Australia well aussie drivers are amazing compared to the drivers here. Not only are they on the wrong wrong side of the road lol, they lack ability to check blindspots and merge straight into others cars.

Found great amusement in crossing the roads here, being careful to look the right way (or the left way) before crossing, as we found many times some cars just dont stop for walking pedestrians. If it wasnt for Adam (English guy) there woulda been some squashed aussies on the Los Angeles roads lol

After our walk we lunch/dinner which was probably big enough to be our breakfast to at a diner which i cant think of the name right now, ill get back to you on that one, it really was like the movies though.

After much socialisation and probably the best shower i have ever had (amazing how good a shower feels after a massive flight and a day of sightseeing) we hit the beds at 10.30pm and slept n slept n slept ..

Till we got kicked out of our rooms at 7am and sent to the MOST UNHEALTHLY BREAKFAST EVER- donuts anyone? lol no thanks, and now im here typing this. Actually a bit disapointed with Los Angeles, its paved roads, houses (no house looks the same unlike at home where you get simliar house styles in a suburb) and dirt hills (ull understand when you see pics) In half a hour i going to the airport to catch a 12noon flight to Portland ME via Chicago, yay more flying lol, so update when i can next, with pics i hope

xox megs

Weird stuff about here

every second car is actually a truck/ute/massive thing

you can buy lottery tickets in vending machines

tryna work out the cost of things (incorporating tips and tax)
