I study in a french cinema school in Paris as I wanted to be a director, but after those three years I turn my interest more and more on images, lights and framing. I would still love to be a director but I'm really enjoying the position of cinematographer as I can help a story just with setting some lights and shoot it as my eyes can see it (often very different than the director's eyes). The thing is that I was at school, learning on 16mm and 35mm camera, following what happened in the HD industry, when the 5D mark II. What a great occasion to start produce our own movies for cheap, so I buy it. But at the end, I didn't use it so much for video but a lot for still photography. And the passion for still photography came. But I think that my goal still is to translate a a cinematographic mood in my stills. In this serie in particular, which was shot in western USA, I alway try to find where is the cinema in the real life. It can be in a look, in a scenery or just in the lights.
