Franz Josef was just as amazing with nice people @ YHA, quite comfy. We had my birthday dinner @ Speights Bar downtown - very disppointing nachos & s&SPork but great atmosphere. Walked out to both glaciers but didn't pay $120 for a guide, not on! Saved our dough & booked the Glowworm Caves tour, Doubtful Sound & Milford Sound Cruises from Te Anau instead.

1st day in Wanaka was lovely but after dinner we came home from the Pub & decided to have our walk around the Lake the next morning. Unfortunateley pouring rain the last 2 days, so we couldn't even have our BBQ @ Eely Pt. Washing, shopping, TV & not much else to do! Apart from the Puzzle House - the maze was exhausting...
