Catching a Moment - Behind the Horizons

Sleeping on the sand under a starlight sky has its own charm. I haven’t slept that well for ages! In the middle of nowhere surrounded by sun and camels your senses start seeing things differently. My expectations of uncomfortable feelings in endless wide open space were all wrong. The only never ending thing I was full of was freedom I could catch here with an ease.
Nothing but the entire sound of silence that I could hear a bug walking on the sand. Or wind. Did you know that it can talk to you by its intensity and melody? I had no clue how my ears can be so sensitive. An ability to hear even a tenuous whisper was becoming sharper. My senses were surprisingly awaken in their natural environment. Bushes in combination with a sand of million tones. Yellow or beige, typical brownish, sand with a glimpse of orange, red or even black. Depending on the light during the day. Always the same but all the time different, by eye and by touch.
Desert keeps saying the stories continuously. The stories without the ends. I am leaving this place with clear head and load of positive energy hiding in my invisible camel hump. For a moment I am simply drunk from happiness, fully enjoying it. There are only few places which can become part of your spirit from very beginning.
So I am leaving with a goodbye on my lips but a belief of coming back soon. And until then: „Shanti shanti, dhire dhire.“
