A Safe Place https://journals.worldnomads.com/mattjmartin76/ Wed, 29 Apr 2026 10:37:45 GMT World Nomads Adventures I currently work in Lincoln UK for a company called Siemens Industrial Turbo machinery. My daytime job is working in Commercial Finance, in brief its providing the payment mechanisms / security to ensure the company gets paid for the work they have completed. Although I enjoy my job this is not my passion. In Nov 2013 I decided I wanted to do something outside my job which I was passionate about and which combines what I love in life i.e. Travel / Nature. The logical conclusion which brought all these together was photography. Photography makes me see the world in a different way with the ability to capture those moments which will never be repeated always makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I think you can learn much from videos and books however, it seems only by making mistakes in the field do I progress. I am constantly progressing however, I still struggle with creating the feeling in my images. I am a hard worker, willing to learn and am physically fit.
