The Steppe of Misfortune

I'm a British-American independent filmmaker based in the UK. I'm still very new to filmmaking and I'm very keen to broaden my experience and skill set by working with a much more experienced director like Brian Rapsey. Receiving mentorship in this industry can be tough, but this sounds like a great gateway! I feel I'd be a good candidate for you and Brian as I have personally shot my indie films in Central Asia, Russia and Iran in a variety of environments from desert, steppe, taiga and high altitude. I've developed my own understanding on how to shoot stories, edit and operate/maintain equipment in remote areas, so you can be sure Brian will be at ease and we can focus on producing quality film!

My filmography and screening list of previous work can be seen on my website at matthewtraver.com or
https://www.linkedin.com/profile/view?id=120345124. Trailers and some of my full films can be seen here: https://www.reelhouse.org/search?q=Matthew+Traver
