Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

I'm continually inspired to capture how people live. Their surroundings and how it shapes them as people.

I'm continually fascinated by light, how it can drastically change the atmosphere of a place just by it's direction and intensity. The feel of a place in the morning will feel completely different at night.

Coming from a cinematography background, I'm intrigued by the power of photography. How one frame can tell so much about a person's emotion or the essence and history of a place.

Moving images and photography are vastly difference approaches. Sure some technical elements are the same but photography is a whole new craft I'm still experiencing and most interested in the subject/photographer relationship and interaction.

I'm always striving to capture the truth of a person or place through photography.
