Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

As many other amateur photographers I have created a safe box around me. Now it is getting really hard to think outside this box. Even though it is big, I know from looking at other peoples photographs that there is so much more for me to learn. I need a chance.

I am currently working as a manager in a big telephone company. The stress and long hours left a mark on me and I needed a release valve. I found it in photography five years ago. Now, I am creating something and contributing to the world.

Even though I don't make any money out of it yet, I honestly believe that photography is my way out. Out from the stress, long hours and feeling empty. Being outside, seeing life and documenting it the way it is at the moment, drives me more and more away from the emptiness of my job.

If I win this, I will quit my job instantly. This is a promise. I owe it to myself!
