I went to Fort Frances Ontario this winter from December 27th to January 4th. I stayed with the Cousineaus and these are photos I took during my stay.

Photos: My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

Photography is my passion. Just the thought of looking through the barrel of a lens, focusing on a single subject or landscape in the perfect light, that excites me. Even though it may only last for a split second, being able to capture that moment, knowing it will never happen again, inspires me to keep shooting. I use photographs to share my perception of the world and every photograph that I take, drives me to improve the next one. I would like to inspire people with my photographs to get up, get out and explore the world in front of them. I want to show people things they have never seen before and things they see everyday in a new light. I love to learn and I constantly strive to better myself as a photographer and more importantly as a person. I want to see and experience the world, all the different countries, cultures and the people that are in it. I would like to learn how to look at my photographs differently and with this scholarship I would gain a new perspective on my photographs and myself. I do not know where I want photography to take me, all I know is that I belong behind a camera taking photographs of what I see in this world.
