Setting off

After a farewell lobster sandwich with Chris at The Mermaid Inn, I filled my backpack with all the necessary accoutrements and topped it off with somewhere around 40 yards of silk chiffon, crepe de chine and double face stretch wool among (many) other fabrics. After a sleepless night of frantic packing the clock struck 5am, as I was zipping my backpack, ready to begin my two month journey through Southeast Asia. Wonderful Chris awoke to send me off in a cab to LaGuardia, we will next meet in Bali, Indonesia in 5 weeks. Now I'm off to Chicago to meet (sis) Megan.
