I grew up seeing his photos and watched him take pictures. There were lots of them. And that's when I learned about which photos were good and which ones were great. Those things then made me who I am, I want to be one of those people who makes great pictures. It's became more clear to me that it is the one thing that I enjoyed the most and I wouldn't mind to spent so much time learning. Making a great picture isn't easy. The more I read about it, the more I realized that the pictures I had made wasn't good enough. That feeling, makes me more and more curious. I'm always trying to learn by doing, and trying to go to competitions. All I'm seeking is how to make that picture that will put a "WOW" in the person that sees it. Besides taking pictures, I really love to travel. Haven't done much this year, but I'm planning to do it next year, so I'm saving for it. I'm still living my 9 to 5 job to support my travels, but hope that one day traveling will be my full time job. We would go to exhibitions and he loves showing me great photos from the magazines. My favorite time was looking at the annual World Press Issue. It took me hours to study each and every single photo. I was that little girl, sitting down quietly by myself, looking at each photos, wondering how it was made, how did the photographer were at that moment, how it would felt like to be at that moment, and how to make that moment a single picture so the world could see it. Now I’m 30th, working at a bank to support my live, but it’s just a job. I use all of my days off and weekends to go everywhere I could and learn how to capture moments. Hopefully one day, I could make great photos like what I have seen when I was little. So if someone asks me what I do for a living, my answer will be travel photography! I don’t earn any money from doing it (YET), but it’s about that one thing that makes me feel alive. I love to travel somewhere, trying my best to make great photos, and share it with the world. When people meet me in daily life, they will find a typical cubicle creature, the one wearing formal business suit, staring at the computer from eight to five. Well, that’s not the real me. The real me is a girl with sneakers, jeans, T-shirt, and eye on the camera, shooting whatever attracts my attention. I haven’t been living my dream to become a travel photographer YET, but my eyes and ears opened wide to every opportunity. I’m currently working at a bank, not for the reason of pursuing a career, but I’m using every single days off and everything I earned, with lots of planning for the sake of traveling somewhere, whether it’s near or far, every place has its own charm. So this is a big opportunity that will give me a chance to go to the direction I’m heading to. My lifelong dream is to travel this big wide world, getting to know every place, every people, every culture, which will take a lifetime to do, but I’m dedicated in doing and I’m so eager to learn so much.
