The big 22! And a trip to Jaco

We made it! Probably the longest day ever though. Our flight got delayed an hour at Calgary. Then they couldn't get the doors open to the gate to let us in! We finally arrived in Houston, in all it's sweaty humid glory. And had 30 minutes to make it to the other side of the airport! After sprinting a few flights of stairs (with our backpacks on), and one hot and sweaty train ride we made it to our gate.

The flight from Houston to San José was adventurous. We got a few light shows where I think I almost broke Marc's hand. Though he tried to tell me that planes aren't effected by lightning. We landed got to our hostel and had a great night sleep.

Then this morning woke up nice and early. We had a lovely breakfast with some incredible company at the hostel and some even better coffee! We both managed to miss read our bus schedule and miss our bus in the morning. Minor detail.

Now we are sitting on a couch in the backyard of our hostel in Jaco waiting for a storm to hit, while drinking some icy cold beer.

Tickets, bags, and sunglasses

So finally my bag is packed. We have our tickets printed off, passports ready to be stamped and sunglasses waiting to be put to some good use. I can't wait to be boarding the plane in less than 24-hours! Ready for some good adventures to come our way. What a way to spend my 22nd birthday, on a beach in Jaco relaxing and surfing. Life doesn't get much better than this!

Packing

I am in the middle of packing my bag, and can't seem to decide on anything to take. I hate packing. I never pack enough and end up wishing I packed more, yet as I add more the only thing I can think of is "How will I fit coffee beans in my bag for the way back?" Yes, that is the most pressing issue. I am going to end up throwing things in tomorrow night I just know it. Oh well, T-2 days till Pura Vida so excited!
