Mountain Trecking

We are in sapa in Vietnam and we arrived here from the capital Hanoi by train. It took us 10 hours so we all got to sleep on the train and i thought it was a really good experience, although it was a little rocky. We arrived at 6:30am so we spent most of the day looking around town at the way the people live and relaxing in our hotel Chau Long which is absolutley beautìul!

Sapa is a really beautiful place and its the first place weve been where it rained. The scênery is absolutly amazing here and the town is flocked with mountains.

Today we went mountain trecking down one of the mountains for about 2 hours with our Vietnamese tour guide, Philm who is just as cool as Pat from Cambodia, and whilst weve been in Sapa Chin has accompanied us because this is his home town and he can tell us more about its history.

Chin also taught me some of his laungage today, i spelt them wrong because i wrote them how they sounded but i think im getting the hang of it. So far i am really enjoying Sapa!

We leave on the train again tomorrow night and im looking foward to whats coming next!

Cambodia

So far the trip has been really amazing! The plane trip was long but we got to move around and swap seats so we could spend it with our friends and it was actually really enjoyable. When we steped off the plane the humidity hit me so fast i was a bit shocked, but after being here for a few days its kinda easy to get used to. After we got to the Vietnam Airport we were there for about an hour and then we boarded another plane and took a one hour flight to Cambodia, which acctually didnt seem to go for to long.

Wen we got to Cambodia i was so exited yet so hot! The whole group was exaughsted after a long day and when we got through customes and picked up our bags we went outside and we were greated by our tour guide, PAT! He is so cool! When we got to our hotel i just couldnt wait to look around! Were staying at the Ankoriana Hotel and its really nice.

The First day we went to look at all the temples at Ankor Wat and it was so amazing! I Saw a group of monkey casually playing around and i thought it was so cool! There is so much detail in all the stone which had to be done by hand! Some of the temples were huge and one of them took 30 years to build! We also went to the temple which was used in the move Indiana Jones ans Tomb Raider! And i found that really Exciting!

Today however was really good and it really hit me of how much culture this country has and what it went through in the war.

This morning we went to the Land Mines Museum and it was so sad. We got told about what it was like and got shown all the different types of mines theyd found and our guide was 19 and told us his story about whyen he was 8 he was out with his brother and sister and they oth died and he lost the bottem half of his right leg. It was so upseting to see what had happened so our group left a donation, and most of us brought something from the little shop because the money would go back into the museum.

Its our last night in Cambodia tonight and ive really enjoyed my stay so far. Were going on a boat ride at 3:30 this arfternoon and im really looking forward to it! But so far, this experience has been amazing...
