My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Hello! My name is Lavina, I'm 21 years old and I'm currently in my last 6 months of completing my Visual Arts degree at the University of South Australia. I'm also currently interning at Adelaide's biggest newspaper company; The Advertiser as a photographer.

The photos that I have selected might seem ordinary to someone and unrelated to this scholarship but I can assure you these photos were selected because of the secret beauty and uniqueness these places had. From The Botanic Gardens to a stylish and contemporary furniture shop and last but not least the picturesque hills of Reynella, these images showcase the juxtaposition of both nature and the cityscape.

I am still young and eager to learn new skills and to work with new people. This scholarship will not only be a great opportunity for me as a photographer but also beneficial as a personal experience. I believe that life begins at the end of our comfort zone.

Thank you,

Lavina Singh
