Pack Happy https://journals.worldnomads.com/laura_the_soarer/ Thu, 23 Apr 2026 20:54:22 GMT World Nomads Adventures My curiosity about photography started young, so combined with my other great loves of wildlife & adventure, there was never any question in my mind that Africa would be my first big overseas trip. This is when I remember my first real desire to understand photography developed, driven by the frustration I felt from not knowing how to create accurate representations of what I was seeing through my eyes. Since then, my photography has improved, however I have never had any formal training, & so consequently lack the technical expertise & confidence to make a living out of what I believe SHOULD be my living. Why? I'm not cut out for routine & a 'normal' life. I want & have more to offer than that. My intrepid nature, incessant thirst for travel, love of wildlife & remoteness, & wish to bring this all together by creating beautiful images to share with others are, I believe, pretty suitable attributes for this scholarship.
