I have many interests like hiking, fishing, camping and hunting. My biggest passion however is Photography. I remember when I bought my first camera when I was in grade eight and from that moment I loved taking pictures. Since then I knew that I wanted to become a photographer and my dream is to be a photographer for National Geographic. In High school, I had the opportunity to take two photography classes where I learned different techniques and how to do different types of Photography. Some of the types of Photography that I learned in class were HDR, Night Photography, as well learned how to do studio work. Something that I am known for is being the girl who carries her camera around who always is stopping to take a photograph. I love capturing the moments where many people would just pass by. I'm always wanting to learn more on how I can improve on technique and how to have a different eye and perspective. The photographs that I am submitting are from Downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. They may not tell an exact story but I do believe that they show what Downtown is like and the things that you may see. I loved experiencing the culture and architecture of the downtown area. While I was taking photographs I wanted to capture the authenticity of Downtown Winnipeg. Someday I hope to be able to contribute to the world through my interest in Photography. I want my photographs to make an impact on people's lives. I want people to be able to look at my work and see the heart behind the picture. I want people to realize that not only do I have a passion for photography but that it's something that defines who I am.
