Photos: My Scholarship entry - Lake Cildir

I am a psychologist and worked with disabled children for a couple of years. They had disabilities in various areas such as concentration, talking and learning. Working with them provided me with insight and the ability of observation. I used my camera as a communication tool to reach those children and photography became a significant part of our lives.
Since this slow and sincere experience, I have been perceiving life as a sum of moments. Indeed `the moment is greater than life`. Therefore, I am seeking the moment, that proves this idea, with my camera. And I know there are many of them.
Photography offers me a sanctuary in which rather than being a spectator of life, I can become someone allowing people to see `worlds from a moment or a moment from the world` on the walls of this sanctuary. The excitement of seizing a moment and sharing it through photography is an essential part of my life. And it will be.
I want to continue my life as a documentary photographer, being in different lands, meeting different people, and touching their lives and cultures.
