My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Hi Jason,

I'm Kunal Rajput, a 23 year old guy driven by an innate curiosity and sense of wonder about the world and everyone in it.I'm passionately involved with nature as an artist and an adventurer.

I started photography almost a year back using my dad's nikon 5 mp point & shoot camera during the final year of engineering.I loved it so much that since then every single day has been a new learning for me.

I graduated in 2009 as a computer engineer & started a promising career with a software firm,Infosys.Although,my job was of a software developer but most of my time was spent learning the art of photography from the magazines & internet.Soon I realised that my true interest lied in photography & therefore I resigned from my job to pursue a successful career in this field. To satisfy my growing urge,I sold my brand new laptop to buy a Nikon dslr & invested all my savings in a few lenses.

I consider this scholarship as an amazing platform to experience what it is like to be on a real wildlife assignment in Bhutan & most importantly to learn & enhance my skills under the mentorship of a leading National Geographic photographer.

Through my photographs I wanted to convey a story of the family of sculptors which migrated from a small town called Bhilwara in Rajasthan to Pune,Maharashtra. in order to earn a living.
