what is the best part of traveling: Seeing new place? Exploring what the beautiful and the unique things of city? Food Culinary? or What people do there? I really love traveling because I can learn something new yet the experience of explore the places and foods during my journeys.
As time goes by I still remember how great they are! They are people whom I met at some cities of Indonesia. They were not president or someone who has power. They were mentor for me. They taught me how to be tough, how to think and see in many perspectives, be wise, and be thankful of everything I have. They were simple person, but huge of thought and heart.
This was my first experience become a volunteer. I got the task to go to a village which had effect of Eruption of Mount Merapi. It was really bad; there was only one way in and one way out. Bridges damaged and many trees collapse on the ground. The entire garden damaged and nothing left. Unfortunately they can’t harvest the salak whereas in 2 or 3 months again they will have a huge harvest. The best things I have learned from there are: Although they got natural disaster and still had no idea for what will they do for living, they treated us well. They still have salak and gave it to us. After we asked the head of the village and did some research to note what the most thing they need, we back to our post.
Are We Enough to Learn and Share?
Talk about Indonesia’s culture it will be never enough. Why? Good people, good tradition, and good food. They taught me that technology grew up so fast yet the mind but the tradition should be well taken care of.
We Learn Everyday and Everywhere from Everyone
I really like to explore what they have in there. Everyone is mentor and every place is school. It was a great experience to go to some places and get along with people. So, where ever you go: Open your eyes, mind, hearts, and you will get better along with you journey. You will get your mentor wherever you go. Happy traveling
